What is Aquaseal?
Formally known as Freesole, Aquaseal SR is a repair adhesive that will bond soles, repair rands, build toe caps and repair cracks. Dries to a solid rubber that will not crack or peel over time. Additionally, Aquaseal waterproofs, resists abrasion and has permanent flexibility. Ideal for hiking & work boots, rubber & neoprene boots, and athletic shoes.
How do I use it?
- Clean and dry surface. Roughen smooth surfaces.
- RE-BOND SOLES: Apply evenly and cure overnight with weight or tape.
- REPAIR RANDS: Apply into gap with toothpick. Tape firmly closed until cured.
- RE-BUILD HEELS: Roughen surface, tape around sole edge to form dam, apply onto area and cure overnight.
- STORE: Replace cap and store in the freezer.

I ordered 3 tubes of “Freesole” shoe repair urethane formula.. The web page showed that product when I ordered it. What I received was 3 tubes of an “Aquaseal” product. I was not advised of the substitution. I have not tried ot use It, and I cannot say whether it is equivalent to the Freesole. But it is not what I ordered.
