Description
Ideal for boot and shoe making! Also used for making fine leather goods like wallets and bags. High quality leather infused with a wax and oil compound to make it firm but flexible while naturally repelling moisture and protecting the leather. 6-7 oz thickness with a medium/firm temper. Average size is 17-19 Sq. ft. Available in black, and darkest brown.

I have been building firman radio holsters and straps. Do you have any leather recommendations that is black that would hold up to rugged use and abuse?

Hey Tim! For those kinds of projects, I would recommend our black veg tan back pieces, which can be found in the menu of our website here by going to Leather > Veg Tan Leather > Pieces and Straps, or by clicking here. These are cut from high quality 8-10 ounce dosset (double back) sides, and are what we cut our black belt blanks from as well.
