The rabbit hide came in the mail today. It is so soft and pliable, perfect to sew with my regular sewing machine. anyone else out there wanting to make a sporran with real rabbit, I urge you to purchase one of these. We bought the rabbit skin for our 10 month old daughter, and she finds lots of joy in throwing it, stomping on it, pulling at it and trying to eat it. It has definitely held up well. Bob makes for a very good backdrop for our product pictures as well.

I used the rabbit skins to line a pair of buffalo skin mocs (also from Montana leather), but they don’t show in the picture. I was super pleased with the size and plush softness of one of the pelts, but the other pelt was just satisfactory – fine for lining, but maybe not for a hat. Still, I highly recommend Montana leather for the variety and quality of products.
