Description
These odd lot leathers from SB Foot are all over the place, which means it saves us money, which means it saves you money! However, this comes with the caveat that you get what you get. So with the affordable price comes a little bit of risk. For the most part, these sides are in the 5-6.5 ounce range, in an earth tone color, with a medium to firm temper.
Unlike other miscellaneous leather sales, we will not be taking requests for color or thickness. We will also not be accepting returns for these items. So, if you are willing to accept a random side from this pallet, this is one heck of deal to take advantage of!

What risk ? I paid 40 usa dollars each for the first two hides . Price went up to 65 usa dollars.
An entire side of hide !!@ what a fantastic deal! Saved a few hundred dollars off the bat. One hide had a large brand and for me that was a bonus. These hides are thick for
Satchel or book bag etc . Feel great smell great too. I am so glad I got the email on this pallet sale.

I was looking for untanned leather. The delivered complete, but tanned, horsehide was a prize for someone who needed tanned leather. My need for untanned leather was not met, but I accept responsibility for my disappointment. Question: Is untanned cowhide available anywhere nowadays?

I think this is this is the way to go. There are a few blemish and cuts , but most of the side is BEAUTIFUL and I almost ashamed to to cut it up to make something. I received a deep dark brown veg tan of 4-5oz Great choice by your staff !!!! I’ll be back for more after I work my way through this piece.

I was not expecting the pebble finish on one of the hides but I think it will work GREAT! I think a little more difference in the colors between the 2 hides might have been nice. All that being said I love both pieces and can’t wait to start new projects. They were much larger than expected which is going to allow me to try stamping, pyrography, tooling and bigger projects.
