can i use the glycerin liquid soap to remove Montana pitch blend leather dressing. my hiking boots needs resoling and the cobbler wont repair them because i have apply a layer of leather dressing on the leather. he said that the glue wont adhere to the leather unless that leather dressing is removed. james hoang asked on April 15, 2024

Hey James, contact cement will stick even if there is leather dressing on there, so I'm not sure what your repair person is talking about. However, to answer your question, there isn't a way to remove dressing from the leather since it soaks in and gets absorbed.
