Hey William, with a 4-5 ounce weight, the Cheyenne leather is about 1/16" - 5/64" thick.

Thank you to all the good folks at Montana Leather Supply. Today I recieved my order of “Cheyenne Chap Leather-Rust” and I am super pleased.
