What is black Utta?
A shrunken bison leather side in black that measures 7-8 ounces (7/64″ – 1/8″) in thickness. Excellent for making a nice pair of boots, bags, belts & a variety of other projects. Also available in cut pieces of 3 square feet.

What do offer in 13-15 oz thickness?
Hey Manny! The only leather we offer in that weight is either skirting or harness leather, both of which can be found in the saddlery leather section of our website.

Hello Victor! No, we do not recommend our bison for upholstery work. We do have a section on our website dedicated to upholstery though!

Hey Ed, I gauged our current batch and it is definitely thicker than usual in the 8-11 oz range. Not quite 13, but still too thick. I sent you an email with a return label so you can send it back!
